About the Role:

The FSW/Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of retail goods to various locations across the United States. This position combines the responsibilities of a frontline service worker with those of a professional driver, requiring a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering products while maintaining accurate records and adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. This role demands excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Ultimately, the FSW/Driver contributes directly to customer satisfaction and the overall success of the retail supply chain by ensuring products arrive in excellent condition and on time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or appropriate driver’s license as required by state regulations.
  • Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail delivery or logistics.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning software.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or delivery environment.
  • Certification in defensive driving or safety training programs.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport retail goods to designated locations within assigned routes.
  • Load and unload merchandise carefully, ensuring products are handled according to company standards to prevent damage.
  • Verify delivery orders and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
  • Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses related to the vehicle.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally during deliveries.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed at delivery sites.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local driving laws and company policies.

The required skills for this role include proficient driving abilities, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods while adhering to all traffic laws. Strong organizational skills are essential for managing delivery schedules, maintaining accurate records, and handling inventory tasks.
