We're seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with Sports Medicine and/or Pain Management experience to join our team and help patients regain function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

Great care starts face-to-face, and this role is hands-on.
Your Role as a Medical AssistantAs a Medical Assistant supporting our Sports Medicine and Pain Management providers, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring efficient clinic operations. You'll work closely with providers, patients, and clinical staff to support diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Support- Welcome patients, escort them to exam rooms, and prepare them for evaluation and treatment.
- Obtain and document vital signs, chief complaints, medical histories, and medication information.
- Assist providers with musculoskeletal examinations, pain evaluations, and in-office procedures.
- Prepare patients for injections, joint aspirations, trigger point injections, and other pain management treatments.
- Apply braces, splints, supports, and other orthopedic devices as directed.
- Assist with sports medicine and pain management procedures.
- Perform injections, immunizations, EKGs, and other clinical tasks within scope of practice.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens as needed.
- Ensure exam rooms and procedure areas are properly stocked and prepared.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, rehabilitation protocols, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Coordinate referrals, imaging appointments, physical therapy services, and follow-up visits.
- Support continuity of care by ensuring timely communication between patients and providers.
- Accurately document patient information and clinical activities within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and EPIC Health policies and procedures.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts.
- Work closely with physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, therapists, and clinical staff to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Assist with clinic workflow and operational needs to maintain an efficient patient experience.

- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Pain Management, or a related specialty preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification or completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
- Experience assisting with injections, orthopedic procedures, or pain management treatments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Experience with EHR systems.
- Familiarity with rehabilitation protocols, orthopedic bracing, and sports injury treatment.
- Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
