This role is part of a highly technical and data-driven engineering team focused on building internal self-service data solutions that empower employees across the organization. You will work at the intersection of backend, frontend, and data engineering, developing scalable microservices and intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex data requests. The position involves designing and evolving cloud-native solutions, ensuring performance, observability, and reliability at scale. You will also contribute to data orchestration pipelines and play a key role in improving engineering standards across teams. Acting as a technical reference, you will influence architectural decisions and support the growth of other engineers. This is a high-impact role in a modern cloud environment, focused on autonomy, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Python (FastAPI/Flask) to support data orchestration and self-service solutions.
Build and evolve responsive and high-performance frontend interfaces using React, ensuring seamless user experience for internal tools.
Define and evolve system architecture, contributing to technical decisions that ensure scalability, reliability, and cloud readiness (GCP).
Develop and maintain data workflows and pipelines using Airflow (Composer), ensuring automation, monitoring, and data integrity.
Promote engineering best practices, code reuse, and governance standards across backend, frontend, and data solutions.
Participate in code reviews and act as a technical reference for quality, architecture, and development standards.
Support and mentor other engineers, contributing to team and cross-team technical growth.
Ensure data quality, security, and observability, working in a strong data-driven culture.
Propose continuous improvements and actively contribute to product and platform evolution with an ownership mindset.

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar.
Solid experience with React and modern frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs (GraphQL knowledge is a plus).
Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling for Data Lake / Data Warehouse environments.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and big data concepts.
Hands-on experience with Airflow (Composer) or similar orchestration tools.
Strong software engineering fundamentals including clean code, testing, and scalable design principles.
Ability to act as a technical reference and demonstrate leadership in code quality and best practices.
Nice to have: experience with micro frontends, SRE/observability practices, internal developer platforms, and agile methodologies (Kanban/Lean).
