Job Description

Freight Broker Agent

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Freight Broker Agent in United States.

This role is designed for an experienced freight brokerage professional who thrives in an autonomous, entrepreneurial environment where results directly drive earnings. You will manage and grow an active book of business, building long-term relationships with shippers while coordinating end-to-end freight movements across the supply chain. Operating in a fully remote and performance-driven setting, you will have full ownership of customer relationships, pricing negotiations, and carrier coordination. The role is highly flexible and structured around individual business models, with compensation directly tied to revenue generation. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient logistics operations while delivering consistent service quality and customer satisfaction. This opportunity is best suited for self-directed brokers who want to scale their income through independent performance and client portfolio growth.

Accountabilities
  • Manage, maintain, and expand an existing portfolio of shipper accounts to drive consistent revenue growth.
  • Develop and nurture strong long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of trust and satisfaction.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new freight brokerage business opportunities within the market.
  • Coordinate the full freight lifecycle, from pickup to delivery, ensuring smooth and timely execution.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and customers to maximize profitability and service efficiency.
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve operational issues to ensure on-time performance and reliability.
  • Maintain high service standards while managing customer expectations and communication throughout the shipping process.
  • Operate independently or in collaboration with internal operations teams, depending on business structure.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in freight brokerage, typically 2+ years or more in a performance-driven environment.
  • Established and active book of business generating approximately $20K+ monthly gross profit (preferred).
  • Strong, portable client relationships with the ability to transition accounts to a new brokerage platform.
  • Demonstrated track record of revenue generation and sustained sales performance.
  • Strong negotiation, sales, and relationship management skills within the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in a commission-only structure.
  • Ability to manage full-cycle brokerage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • No active restrictive non-compete agreements that would prevent client portability.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer service orientation.
Benefits
  • 100% commission-based compensation structure with high earning potential.
  • Flexible commission splits ranging from 30% to 70%, depending on independence and operational support level.
  • Customizable earning structure aligned with individual business model and performance.
  • Full autonomy to manage and grow your own book of business.
  • Remote work environment with complete geographic flexibility within the U.S.
  • Opportunity to scale income directly based on performance and client portfolio growth.
  • Entrepreneurial setup with no cap on earnings or revenue potential.
  • Independence to operate cradle-to-grave brokerage activities if desired.
