This is a high-impact commercial leadership role responsible for building and leading a regional sales organization focused on launching and scaling an innovative mental health therapy. You will oversee a field-based team driving adoption within certified treatment centers, psychiatry networks, and integrated healthcare systems. The role combines strategic execution, team leadership, and deep stakeholder engagement across complex clinical environments.
You will play a central role in shaping a new therapeutic category within psychiatry and CNS care, ensuring strong alignment between commercial strategy, clinical education, and patient access frameworks.
In this position, you will recruit, develop, and coach a high-performing specialty sales team while driving accountability and execution excellence across the region.
You will collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and cross-functional launch teams to ensure field readiness and successful adoption.

- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing regional sales team, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and ongoing performance management.
- Drive execution of regional commercial launch strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market access goals.
- Establish clear performance expectations and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with psychiatrists, behavioral health providers, treatment centers, academic institutions, and key opinion leaders.
- Ensure field readiness by reinforcing clinical knowledge, treatment protocols, patient identification strategies, and site-of-care processes.
- Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Training, Patient Support, and other stakeholders to optimize launch execution.
- Analyze regional performance metrics and implement action plans to improve sales outcomes and market penetration.
- Manage regional budgets, forecasting, and territory alignment to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Provide field insights and market intelligence to inform brand strategy and ongoing launch optimization.
- Conduct regular field coaching and ride-alongs to strengthen consultative selling and clinical engagement capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8–10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience.
- 5+ years of first-line sales leadership experience managing field-based teams.
- Proven success in launching specialty, neuroscience, or psychiatry-focused therapies.
- Experience working within CNS, behavioral health, or psychiatry markets strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with complex launch environments, including therapies requiring site certification, REMS programs, or specialized administration models.
- Experience engaging with IDNs, academic medical centers, and specialty treatment sites.
- Strong leadership and team development skills with a track record of building high-performing sales organizations.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable field strategies.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and highly regulated environments.
- Competitive base salary range of $180,000 – $230,000 USD, depending on experience and location.
