Senior Audit Support Assistant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Audit Support Assistant based in the United States.

This role provides essential administrative and operational support within a healthcare audit environment, helping ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely resolution of provider-related inquiries.
The Senior Audit Support Assistant will manage complex audit support activities, including claim reviews, reporting, data management, and workflow coordination.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, this position contributes to improving claim accuracy and supporting effective audit outcomes.
The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to analyze information while managing multiple priorities.
You will play a key part in maintaining quality standards, resolving escalated issues, and supporting provider relationships.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Audit Support Assistant will provide advanced administrative and analytical support for audit operations by managing claim-related activities, maintaining data accuracy, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.

  • Perform specialized administrative support activities for audit engagements, including file management, data organization, documentation, and workflow coordination.
  • Respond to claim status inquiries and assist with resolving escalated claim questions in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Generate, organize, and analyze reports containing claim details for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Manage claim work queues, tagging activities, and data entry processes while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and proof claim information to verify calculations, documentation, wording, totals, and other key variables before submission.
  • Maintain productivity standards by following established processes, procedures, and departmental guidelines.
  • Monitor work quality by validating accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and escalating issues affecting performance or service delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying workflow challenges and communicating opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to advocate resolutions and support provider-focused outcomes.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has experience supporting administrative operations, handling detailed documentation, and working with healthcare-related data or claims processes. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with business systems are essential for success in this role.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative support experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and database systems.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, processes, and administrative best practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to assess accuracy, completeness, and quality of assigned work.
  • Flexibility to participate in meetings and workflows supporting an international organization and different time zones.
  • Healthcare experience, including medical billing or provider reimbursement experience, preferred.
