Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key hands-on role in budgeting and forecasting, M&A financial analysis, performance reporting, and strategic projects. This is a high-visibility position that partners closely with leadership and provides meaningful exposure to private equity-backed operations, M&A activity, and executive-level reporting. What you will do:
Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Support the annual budgeting process in close partnership with the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, and CFO.
- Maintain and update the annual forecast model on a periodic basis, incorporating actuals and revised assumptions.
- Prepare budget/forecast versus actual analyses with clear commentary on key drivers and trends.
M&A Support
- Support pro forma M&A financial modeling, including utilization rates, overhead rate analysis, and integration assumptions.
- Track and report on financial performance of acquired companies post-close, supporting integration activities as needed.
Strategic Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports for internal stakeholders and the Company's financial sponsor.
- Analyze business performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variance trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with department and functional leaders to provide real-time visibility into overhead and operating expenses.
- Develop andmaintaindashboards and reporting tools that enhance decision-making across the organization.
Strategic Projects
- Support high-priority finance initiatives, which may include:
- Overhead rate tracking, projections, and optimization analysis.
- Cost savings identification and monitoring.
- Acquisition integration synergy tracking and cross-sell opportunity analysis.
- Ad hoc financial analysis in support of executive and sponsor requests.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance FP&A processes, tools, and systems.
- Support automation initiatives to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Document processes and build scalable reporting templates to support the growing finance function.
What you will bring:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, orrelatedfieldrequired.
Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive FP&A or financial analysis experience.
- Strong financial modeling skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Licenses/Certifications:
- CPA or CMAa plus.
Software:
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial planning tools; experience with Deltek Vantagepoint a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
- Proficiency with A.I. tools preferred.
