ABOUT THE ROLE |
The Site Related Projects / Tie-Ins Manager delivers the portfolio of smaller scopes that connect new-build assets to the live, operating site — tie-ins to existing utilities, modifications inside existing buildings, and other site-integration projects. The role requires deep coordination with the operating site's Operations team to protect ongoing GMP production during execution. The 'Existing Building Projects / Tie-Ins Manager' variant focuses on work performed inside operating manufacturing/lab buildings.
RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Own a portfolio of tie-in and site-integration sub-projects; manage each through definition, design, execution, and turnover.
- Partner with the operating site's Operations team on production-impact planning, shutdown windows, and change control under the operating site's quality system.
- Coordinate tie-ins with the Tie-In / Site Integration Manager and with the PC21 Utilities PM.
- Support and manage contractor mobilization to brownfield environments — escorts, training, GMP gowning, restricted-zone protocols.
- Drive HSE and quality compliance in live-plant conditions; lead Management of Change (MOC) submissions.
- Report cost/schedule status per sub-project; escalate risks to plant operations promptly.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS |
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 12+ years of capital project experience; 5+ years managing brownfield/tie-in scopes in operating pharma or chemical plants.
- Strong working knowledge of GMP change control and operating-site MOC processes.
- Demonstrated track record of executing in live-plant conditions without disrupting production.
- English required.
Preferred
- Spanish strongly preferred.

- GMP change control and Management of Change (MOC) submission and administration.
- Production-impact planning, shutdown window coordination, and contractor mobilization to restricted/brownfield zones.
- Cost and schedule reporting per sub-project.
Soft Skills
- Close coordination with Operations teams to protect live production during execution.
- Cross-functional coordination with the Tie-In / Site Integration Manager and PC21 Utilities PM.
- Proactive risk escalation to plant operations.
- Effective communication in English (Spanish strongly preferred).
