Position Details

Location: On-site – Hawthorne, CA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (occasional overtime may be required based on business needs)

Summary

The Order Packer is responsible for packing, labeling, and preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring all outbound products are processed accurately and meet company quality standards. This role plays a vital part in shipping operations by maintaining order accuracy, coordinating shipments, and supporting efficient warehouse operations.

This position supports the fulfillment of professional artist paints and related products for retail, wholesale, and e-commerce customers. While shipping is the primary responsibility, the Order Packer will occasionally assist with order picking and other warehouse duties as business needs require. The Order Packer reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with the Fulfillment Team Lead to execute daily shipping priorities.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare, pack, and label customer orders according to company and carrier requirements.

· Verify order accuracy before shipment to ensure customers receive the correct products.

· Process shipments using ShipStation and coordinate daily pickups with carriers including FedEx, USPS, and freight providers.

· Prepare palletized and large shipments, ensuring products are packaged securely for safe transportation.

· Inspect finished products during packing and report any quality concerns, damaged packaging, or labeling issues before shipment.

· Perform quality control checks to ensure shipments meet company standards for accuracy, packaging, and presentation.

· Monitor inventory of shipping supplies, including boxes, labels, tape, pallets, and other materials, and notify management when replenishment is needed.

· Assist with monthly physical inventory counts and help maintain inventory accuracy by reporting low inventory levels, damaged products, or inventory discrepancies.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse work area.

· Assist with warehouse organization and general warehouse operations as needed.

· Support order picking during periods of high order volume, employee absences, or other operational needs.

· Work collaboratively with the Fulfillment Team Lead, Production, Customer Service, and other departments to meet daily shipping priorities.

· Follow company safety procedures and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, order fulfillment, or logistics preferred.

· Experience using ShipStation or similar shipping software is a plus.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

· Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.

· Reliable attendance, a positive attitude, and a willingness to assist wherever needed.
