Position Summary:

The CDL Class A Retail Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, professional, and reliable delivery of customer freight to retail locations throughout the assigned service area. This position combines safe commercial vehicle operation with multi-stop retail delivery, accurate documentation, proactive communication, and exceptional customer service. Drivers represent Weber Logistics at the point of delivery and are expected to protect the customer experience through safe execution, dependable service, professional conduct, and accountability.

Safe & Professional Execution

· Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, state, local, and company requirements.

· Complete required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and promptly report equipment or safety concerns.

· Maintain safe driving practices in varying traffic, weather, roadway, and retail delivery environments.

· Protect freight, equipment, customer property, and the public throughout the delivery process.

· Maintain a professional appearance and conduct that reflects Weber's commitment to safety, excellence, and customer service.

Retail Delivery Execution

· Execute assigned multi-stop retail delivery routes safely, accurately, and within established delivery schedules.

· Verify freight and delivery information before departure and at each stop.

· Navigate retail centers, store locations, and other delivery environments while maintaining safe access and equipment positioning.

· Follow customer-specific delivery, check-in, unloading, and proof-of-delivery requirements.

· Maintain freight integrity and immediately identify shortages, overages, damages, or other delivery exceptions.

Communication & Customer Service

· Communicate proactively with dispatch and operations regarding delays, delivery exceptions, access issues, equipment concerns, or other conditions that may affect service.

· Provide professional and courteous service to store personnel and other customer representatives.

· Anticipate potential service issues and escalate them early enough for operations to respond effectively.

· Demonstrate accountability and follow-through from route departure through completion.

Documentation & Information Accuracy

· Complete bills of lading, delivery receipts, proof-of-delivery documentation, inspection records, and other required paperwork accurately and timely.

· Use assigned transportation technology and mobile communication tools as required.

· Ensure delivery exceptions and supporting documentation are communicated promptly to operations.

· Protect the integrity of customer and company information.

Equipment & Freight Stewardship

· Maintain assigned tractor and trailer in a clean, safe, and professional condition.

· Properly secure freight and use required material-handling or load-securing equipment.

· Report equipment defects, damage, accidents, cargo claims, or safety incidents immediately in accordance with company procedures.

· Operate equipment responsibly with consideration for fuel efficiency, maintenance, and asset life.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

· Work collaboratively with dispatch, supervisors, warehouse teams, customer personnel, and fellow drivers.

· Support changing route and operational requirements when business conditions require flexibility.

· Provide practical feedback regarding routes, delivery locations, customer requirements, and recurring service issues.

· Demonstrate Weber's core values through dependable execution, integrity, respect, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Required

· Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

· Minimum two (2) years of recent Class A commercial driving experience.

· Acceptable motor vehicle record and ability to meet Weber Logistics and applicable insurance requirements.

· Current DOT medical certification and ability to satisfy all applicable DOT/FMCSA qualification requirements.

· Demonstrated commitment to safe commercial vehicle operation.

· Ability to execute multi-stop routes while maintaining schedule, accuracy, and professional customer service.

· Strong verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, customers, and store personnel.

· Ability to accurately complete required transportation and delivery documentation.

· Ability and willingness to work varying schedules based on customer and operational requirements.


Preference to those who have

· Retail store delivery, dedicated fleet, final-mile, or multi-stop distribution experience.

· Experience operating in Northern California and Bay Area markets.

· Experience with electronic logging devices, transportation applications, and mobile proof-of-delivery systems.

· Experience with retail delivery procedures, customer receiving requirements, and delivery exception management.
