The Senior DevOps / DevEx Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and improving internal platforms, automation frameworks, and infrastructure capabilities that enable engineering teams to operate efficiently. This role requires strong software development skills, ownership, and a passion for creating simple, scalable solutions that improve developer workflows.
- Build and maintain internal developer platforms, services, and automation tools that improve engineering productivity.
- Design solutions that enable teams to ship software safely, quickly, and independently while maintaining strong security and architectural standards.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD workflows, release automation, deployment processes, and operational tooling.
- Improve infrastructure automation practices using infrastructure-as-code approaches and scalable cloud solutions.
- Create frameworks, abstractions, and self-service tools that encourage engineering best practices.
- Support and evolve Kubernetes-based environments, cloud infrastructure, and developer workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points and develop solutions that simplify development processes.
- Drive adoption of AI-powered engineering tools and workflows while ensuring responsible usage, security, and technical consistency.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning sessions.
- Contribute to reliability improvements, operational excellence, and incident response practices.
- Become a technical owner and subject matter expert for internal platforms, infrastructure services, and developer experience initiatives.
- Lead initiatives that improve DevOps maturity, automation capabilities, and engineering efficiency across the organization.
The ideal candidate is an experienced DevOps, Site Reliability, Platform, or DevEx engineer with a strong software engineering background and a passion for building tools that enable others to succeed.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, DevEx, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related engineering roles.
- Strong software development experience with an emphasis on building internal tools, automation, and engineering platforms.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable frameworks, abstractions, and developer-focused solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset and ability to independently identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience building automation workflows and improving engineering productivity through technology.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably with AWS experience.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, infrastructure-as-code, and modern deployment practices.
- Experience working with tools such as GitHub and CI/CD platforms.
- Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages.
- Understanding of security best practices and scalable infrastructure design.
- Curiosity and practical experience with AI tools, LLM-based workflows, and AI-assisted development practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
