- Develop and lead the execution of multi-year HR technology roadmaps that support business growth, organizational changes, and digital HR transformation.
- Partner with HR leadership to translate HR operating models, policies, and processes into scalable system designs and standardized global solutions.
- Define and drive global process standardization within HR systems, balancing local regulatory requirements with global efficiencies.
- Architect and oversee integrations between HRIS platforms and other enterprise systems using APIs and middleware.
- Establish and enforce integration and data architecture standards, including interface design patterns, error handling, and monitoring approaches.
- Ensure compliance with global data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements in all HR technology designs and configurations.
- Collaborate with IT security and legal teams to define and maintain appropriate access controls, encryption standards, and data retention policies for HR data.
- Lead technical evaluations and selection of HR technology solutions, including HRIS platforms, add-on modules, and integration tools.
- Provide architectural guidance and oversight to project teams implementing new HR systems, enhancements, and integrations.
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, technical specifications, and configuration standards.
- Act as a key point of contact between HR, IT, and external vendors to ensure cohesive delivery and support of HR technology initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, data quality, user experience, and automation within the HR technology landscape.
- Establish best practices for HRIS system management, including change management, release management, and environment strategy.
- Mentor HR and IT team members on HR technology architecture principles, integration approaches, and system management best practices.
- Monitor industry trends in HR technology, cloud solutions, and integration tools, and recommend innovative capabilities to the organization.
- Support issue resolution for complex HR technology problems, guiding root cause analysis and sustainable architectural fixes.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in HR technology, HRIS systems architecture, or enterprise systems architecture, with significant exposure to HR platforms.

- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing system architectures that support future-state HR operating models.
- Hands-on experience with API design and integration.
- Practical experience with middleware and integration platforms.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, information security, and compliance requirements related to HR and employee data (e.g., GDPR and other regional regulations).
- Track record of developing and managing multi-year technology roadmaps, including prioritization, dependency management, and stakeholder alignment.
- Experience driving global process standardization and harmonization within HR technology platforms while accommodating local requirements.
- Deep knowledge of HR processes and domains (e.g., core HR, talent management, payroll, time and attendance, benefits) and how they are enabled by HRIS solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with HR, IT, and business stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical designs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present architectural options, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading or providing architectural oversight for large-scale HR technology implementations, upgrades, or transformations.
- Masters degree in Computer Science with a focus in Human Resources, or an equivalent advanced degree combining technology and HR disciplines.
- Familiarity with modern cloud-based HR platforms and associated integration patterns.
