Job Description

AI Trainers Network - Basque

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Trainers Network - Basque contributor based in Netherlands.

Join a global network of language professionals and culturally aware contributors helping shape the future of artificial intelligence. This flexible, remote opportunity allows you to apply your Basque language expertise to projects that make AI systems more accurate, inclusive, and human-centered. Depending on your skills and availability, you may work on data annotation, content evaluation, search quality assessment, or prompt creation for large language models. Your linguistic knowledge and cultural understanding will help AI systems better interpret and generate natural, contextually relevant content. Projects vary in scope and duration, giving you the flexibility to consider assignments that fit your availability. Please note that this is a talent network opportunity rather than an active job opening; you will be contacted when a suitable project becomes available.

Accountabilities:

As a contributor to the AI Trainers Network, you may support a variety of language-focused projects designed to improve the quality, accuracy, and cultural relevance of AI-generated content.

  • Annotate and label text, images, audio, or other content to support AI model training.

  • Evaluate search results, advertisements, and chatbot responses for quality, relevance, accuracy, and usefulness.

  • Create, review, and test prompts to improve the performance of large language models and other AI systems.

  • Assess Basque-language content for linguistic accuracy, grammar, naturalness, and cultural relevance.

  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, and contextual issues that may affect the quality of AI-generated responses.

  • Apply project-specific guidelines to deliver consistent, accurate, and high-quality results.

  • Use your language and cultural expertise to help make AI systems more inclusive and effective for Basque-speaking audiences.

  • Complete assigned tasks within the required timelines and quality standards.

  • Review the scope, schedule, and compensation of each project before deciding whether to participate.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has native or near-native Basque proficiency, a strong eye for detail, and an interest in language technology and artificial intelligence. You should be comfortable working with digital tools, following structured instructions, and evaluating content objectively.

  • Native or near-native fluency in Basque.

  • Based in Spain, as specified in the original project requirements; the opportunity is advertised as remote.

  • Proficiency in English to understand project instructions and communicate when required.

  • Comfortable using digital tools and online platforms to complete tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify linguistic errors, inconsistencies, and contextual inaccuracies.

  • Interest in artificial intelligence, language technologies, and digital content evaluation.

  • Ability to follow detailed guidelines and maintain consistent quality across assignments.

  • Strong understanding of Basque language usage, cultural context, and linguistic nuances.

  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks within project-specific deadlines.

Previous experience in data annotation, linguistic evaluation, AI training, prompt creation, or content review may be useful for certain assignments, but was not listed as a mandatory requirement.

Benefits:

  • Remote project opportunities, subject to availability and eligibility.

  • Flexible participation, allowing you to consider assignments that fit your schedule.

  • Opportunities to contribute to the development of more accurate, inclusive, and human-centered AI.

  • Access to a global community of contributors with diverse language and cultural backgrounds.

  • Exposure to different AI-related activities, including annotation, evaluation, and prompt creation.

  • Clear information about project scope, timelines, and compensation before each assignment.

  • Potential assignments ranging from a few days to several weeks, depending on project requirements.
