This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engenheiro de Dados Senior (Python, FICO DMPS e FICO DM (ou Blaze Advisor)) based in Brazil.

This role is designed for a senior data professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building reliable, scalable solutions.
You will work on data processing, system integrations, and business decision automation initiatives.
The position combines strong Python expertise with experience in decision engines and enterprise data environments.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving data solutions while supporting integrations, decision automation, and business process evolution. The role requires hands-on technical execution, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Develop, maintain, and evolve solutions using Python.
  • Implement and manage business rules using FICO DMPS and FICO DM (Blaze Advisor).
  • Build integrations between systems, decision engines, APIs, and corporate applications.
  • Perform data analysis, processing, transformation, and validation activities.
  • Participate in technical and functional refinement of requirements, helping design scalable and high-quality solutions.
  • Analyze AS-IS and TO-BE processes, identifying improvement opportunities and technical debt.
  • Execute tests, validations, and support solution approval and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with technology, data, and business teams to ensure solutions meet project requirements.
  • Contribute to architecture improvements, performance optimization, code quality, and team productivity.
  • Provide support for existing solutions by investigating incidents and implementing continuous improvements.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong experience in data engineering and software development, with proven expertise in Python, decision management platforms, integrations, and enterprise systems. A combination of technical depth, analytical ability, and experience working in agile environments is required.

  • Strong professional experience with Python development.
  • Hands-on experience with FICO DMPS.
  • Experience with FICO DM / Blaze Advisor.
  • Knowledge of business rules development and maintenance.
  • Experience integrating systems, APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, processing, and validation practices.
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices, version control, testing, and code quality.
  • Experience working in agile teams using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Data Engineering, data pipelines, and cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and development automation.
  • Experience applying Artificial Intelligence tools to software development, such as GitHub Copilot, Prompt Engineering, or automated code review solutions.
