This position is a critical, on-site role that bridges the communication gap between Lab Operations, the Sales team, and Clients.
Moving beyond simple administrative coordination, you will serve as a Solution Provider who represents Psomagen's laboratory processes and technical capabilities to deliver scientific solutions. You will act as the technical anchor across the entire project lifecycle—from supporting the sales team with project design and inspecting quotes, to monitoring project progress, resolving client complaints (troubleshooting), and providing service quality feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Sales Support & Project Design
- Thoroughly understand Psomagen's laboratory workflows and technical capabilities to represent the lab and provide professional technical support when the sales team discusses projects with clients.
- Identify clients' complex scientific requirements and biological research objectives, utilizing your technical insights to support optimal experimental design and customized project planning.
- Project Monitoring & Client Communication
- Closely monitor the overall experimental process and progress to ensure that discussed projects run seamlessly within the lab.
- Communicate directly with clients when additional alignment, updates, or scientific consultation are needed during the project, maintaining transparency and building strong relationships of trust.
- Provide prompt and professional technical responses based on scientific analysis when unexpected issues or sample quality problems arise during experimentation.
- Partner with the lab and Bioinformatics (BI) teams to identify root causes and deliver balanced technical solutions that consider both client satisfaction and the company's interests.
- Commercial Solution & Quote Inspection
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure that the discussed project scope is accurately translated into a realistic and feasible quote.
- Conduct final inspections of quotes drafted by the sales team—including technical specifications, Statement of Work (SOW), and experimental conditions—to prevent errors.
- Quality Monitoring & Vendor Management
- Continuously monitor the quality of Psomagen’s advanced services and deliver actionable feedback to the laboratory based on client input to drive service enhancement.
- Maintain close technical communication and partnerships with core reagent and platform vendors related to Single Cell, Spatial, and Olink services (e.g., 10x Genomics, Olink, etc.).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field.
- Experience: Prior experience in NGS-related Technical Sales, Field Application Support (FAS), or Scientific Project Management (Scientific PM) within a CRO/service organization is preferred.
- Platform Expertise: Outstanding technical understanding of Single Cell (10x Genomics), Spatial Biology (Visium, Xenium), or Proteomics (Olink) platforms and workflows.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to smoothly collaborate and coordinate with various stakeholders, including lab researchers, sales/marketing teams, external clients, and global vendors.
Preferred Skills
- Deep understanding of the genomics/proteomics analysis service market (CRO market) and possession of an existing network.
- Strategic thinking skills to derive clear value stories and solutions amidst complex and multifaceted client feedback.
- Data management and collaborative flexibility (experience utilizing CRMs like HubSpot/Salesforce or LIMS is a plus).
Salary Range: $70,000 – $110,000 base per year (Final offer will be determined by candidate’s experience, skills, and seniority) plus an aggressive commission/incentive structure based on business performance and revenue growth.
