Job Description
Building Maintenance Technicians

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair building, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on facility equipment.
- Complete general building repairs, including painting, drywall repair, tile work, carpentry, and minor construction projects.
- Maintain and service HVAC equipment, ventilation systems, dish machines, filters, screens, traps, and related components.
- Replace light bulbs, batteries, fuses, and other facility components as needed.
- Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment malfunctions.
- Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Support facility improvement projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience.
- Ability to perform general machinery repairs.
- Experience safely operating power tools and maintenance equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Basic carpentry skills, including:
- Framing
- Drywall installation and repair
- Wood repair
- Molding installation
- Knowledge of piping and welding principles.
- Ability to identify and diagnose open fuses.
- Understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
- Ability to use and read a Volt-Ohm Meter (VOM).
- Understanding of series and parallel electrical circuits.
- Ability to interpret basic wiring diagrams and schematics.
This role requires:
- Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
- Climbing, reaching, bending, and stooping
- Working in a fast-paced industrial environment
