Job Description
Hefty Seed Company is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Seed Conditioning Plant & Warehouse Operator. This position is responsible for operating and optimizing our soybean seed conditioning facility while supporting warehouse operations, inventory management, quality control, and customer service.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in agriculture, seed processing, grain handling, manufacturing, production operations, warehouse operations, equipment operation, or quality control. This is not a supervisory position, but it carries significant responsibility for seed quality, plant efficiency, equipment performance, and daily operational success.
Starting Salary: $80,000+ Per Year

What You’ll Do
Seed Conditioning Plant Operations
· Operate soybean seed conditioning equipment safely and efficiently.
· Monitor and optimize plant performance, throughput, and seed quality.
· Perform seed quality evaluations and quality control testing.
· Monitor product quality throughout the conditioning process.
· Maintain accurate production and quality records.
· Troubleshoot and assist with equipment maintenance and plant upkeep.
· Ensure seed meets company quality standards.
Warehouse & Logistics
· Receive, unload, and organize incoming product shipments.
· Load outbound customer orders and company deliveries.
· Operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
· Maintain inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
· Assist with product movement, staging, and storage.
· Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
Customer Service
· Assist customers with product pickups and returns.
· Maintain a positive and professional customer experience.
· Coordinate effectively with sales and operations teams.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
· Seed processing or seed conditioning.
· Agriculture, agribusiness, or grain handling.
· Warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, or logistics.
· Manufacturing, production operations, or plant operations.
· Quality control or quality assurance.
· Equipment operation, equipment maintenance, or troubleshooting.
· Inventory management or inventory control.
· Forklift operation or material handling.
Skills & Attributes
· Strong attention to detail.
· Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily responsibilities.
· Self-motivated, dependable, and safety-minded.
· Excellent communication skills and commitment to quality.
Additional Qualifications
· Forklift experience preferred.
· CDL not required but encouraged.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Able to work seasonal hours as needed during peak periods.
