The physical requirements of this position include: occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; occasional standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; intermittent sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with regular repetitive motions (such as typing); occasional exposure to radiation, and blood borne/airborne pathogens.

Must be able to work days, evenings, and nights; weekends and holidays required per departmental needs.

The Infection Prevention Technician will directly observe Enterprise staff and patient care providers, to evaluate the completion of effective hand hygiene and proper use of personal protection equipment. This position will also be required to help review and approve infection control risk assessments during construction activities. This position will require the collection of data, given to the department for analysis. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observation and record keeping skills, and must be able to work independently. This position must be able to use job related equipment (tablet, phone, App.); and also have good time management skills. This position must participate in Infection Prevention and Control quality improvement initiatives, and will assist in hand hygiene promotional activities. In addition, must also be confident and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Candidate will also need strong organizational, prioritization, basic computer navigation skills and a working knowledge of general medical terminology.

Hospital experience preferred. (High School diploma/GED required.)
