Job Description
Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Proposal Manager who will be responsible for leading the process for all Applied Composite Los Alamitos proposals, ensuring full compliance with company proposal procedures for estimating, tracking, managing proposal team schedules and submitting proposals that meet company, customer and where applicable, government requirements for proposal submission.

Job Responsibilities:
- Managing the proposal process and proposal teams to ensure that all proposals follow established proposal schedules, are managed according to company procedures, meet all requirements for proposal creation and are submitted on-time.
- Perform the duties of, and manage Proposal Estimators.
- Ensure the Proposal Log is maintained with accurate and current information, as well as organizing and leading monthly reviews with management.
- Maintain and distribute a weekly Active Proposals list.
- Work with the VP of Business Development to ensure that proposal teams are assigned to each applicable proposal (per company proposal procedures).
- Leading proposal pricing reviews and obtaining management approval according to company proposal procedures.
- Drafting unique proposal transmittal letters for each proposal and submit for management review and approval.
Job Specifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree is desired
Years' Experience:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 2 years management experience.
- Minimum 2 years hands-on proposal estimating experience.
Skills:
- Proven ability to work effectively with management, engineering, manufacturing personnel, suppliers, business partners, in addition to company senior management.
- Ability to lead teams and effectively manage people.
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is preferred.
- Very strong working knowledge of MS Office products is required.
- Experience and/or education of financial systems is desired.
