Acute Rehabilitation Unit Physical Therapist (PT)

SUMMARY: Responsible and accountable for completing a physical therapy evaluation for each referred patient and for creating and implementing a physical therapy care plan based on the completed evaluation to restore a patient’s function, alleviate pain and prevent disability. |
BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and Healthstream Policy Manager.
Required to work with the Director of Acute Rehabilitation, regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of and degree holder from a Physical Therapy Education Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
Experience: 12 to 18 months related experience, excluding clinical affiliations required to complete a degree
Licensure: Current Arkansas PT license in good standing
Certification: Current CPR certification
Preferred Education: Masters or DPT Degree

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions; show compassion to those in pain/functional loss; handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Ability to stand and walk, bend, stoop and twist, push, pull, and occasionally lift up to 250 lbs for up to 8 hours each day. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must have good manual dexterity. Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and PC mouse to utilize computer software for patient care documentation.

Office setting, within a hospital environment
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Flexible work schedule, 5 days a week, Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts.
