Position Summary:
The Software Test Intern will work with Ergotron's engineering team to validate mobile applications and power bank products before they reach customers. The intern will plan and execute test cycles, document results, and report defects clearly, gaining hands-on experience with both software and hardware testing in a product company.
Position Responsibilities:
• Execute manual and exploratory testing of mobile applications on iOS and Android.
• Perform power bank testing (charging, discharging, output, status reporting, firmware updates) per test plans and safety procedures.
• Write, maintain, and execute test cases and test plans; record results in Qase.
• Log, reproduce, and track defects with clear steps, logs, and screenshots.
• Assist with test automation and repeatable test setups where practical.
• Participate in team meetings and regular check-ins with their manager.
Position Requirements (Knowledge & Experience):
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with iOS and Android devices and basic mobile app concepts.
• Basic understanding of electronics or batteries (voltage, current, capacity) is a plus; comfort using a multimeter or USB power meter is a plus.
• Nice to have: exposure to test management tools, scripting (Python/JavaScript), or mobile test automation.
• Strong attention to detail, clear written communication, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
