Job Title: Universal Support Team Clinical Coordinator(Grades K-12)
Location: On-site, Boston
Position Type: Full-Time, 11-month position
Summary of position:
The Baker Center for Children and Families (also known as Judge Baker Children's Center), promotes the best possible mental health of children and families through the integration of research, intervention, training, and policy.
The Universal Support Team (UST) Clinical Coordinator is a clinical leadership role within the Manville Programs Clinical Department and is responsible for overseeing the implementation and delivery of clinical services and supports across the school. The Clinical Coordinator provides clinical supervision and training to staff clinicians; supports universal screening, progress monitoring, and the implementation of social-emotional learning initiatives; and promotes trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices throughout the school community.
The Clinical Coordinator collaborates with educational, behavioral, and administrative leaders to promote an integrated and student-centered experience. The Clinical Coordinator provides clinical consultation and leadership, supports crisis intervention and risk assessment, and assists with complex clinical decision-making and student admissions.

Essential duties :
- Provides individual supervision and training for staff clinicians.
- Oversees the implementation of clinical services and support within the school, including elements of universal screening and progress monitoring.
- Supports crisis intervention and risk assessment within the school.
- Provides regularly scheduled classroom team supervision and co-facilitates regularly scheduled floor meetings.
- Assists with student admission and intake procedures, including clinical interviewing of prospective students, caregivers and outside entities (school staff and clinical providers), and generally representing Manville by conducting tours or providing information to state and local agencies and other professionals in the behavioral health field that they may have contact within the regular course of business.
- Collaborates with educational and behavioral department managers to implement an integrated experience for students.
- Ensures effective communication and clinical decision-making within the clinical department and school.
- Supports communication with caregivers to ensure timely updates regarding crises, risk assessment and other potential concerns.
- Provides clinical coverage for students in the school when the assigned clinician and/or clinical supervisor are unavailable.
- Attends, and provides clinically relevant input at, classroom meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, Case Conference/parent-teacher conference meetings.
- Assists with decision-making regarding psychiatric hospitalization screening referrals/911 calls, as well as 51 A/mandated reporting situations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Masters degree in Social Work or a related field required.
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with current MA Licensure in good standing required.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents in a school, educational, behavioral health setting, or similar setting serving a comparable population.
- At least 2 years of clinical supervision and/or leadership experience.
Training:
- Verbal de-escalation and behavior support strategies.
- Evidence-based clinical interventions.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and how to adapt EBPs to students with complex presentations, high acuity, and resistance to treatment.
Logistics
License/Certification: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with current MA Licensure in good standing, or Current Massachusetts Psychologist Licensure and Health Service Provider in good standing in Massachusetts.
