Role Overview

We are seeking a technically skilled and motivated Integration & Test Engineer to support the integration, testing, and commissioning of our advanced flight simulation systems. Reporting to the Integration & Test Lead, this role plays an essential part in delivering high‑quality, fully compliant simulators by executing system integration tasks, conducting formal testing, resolving technical issues, and working closely with cross‑functional engineering teams.

The successful candidate will apply strong practical engineering skills, analytical thinking, and hands‑on experience with complex electro‑mechanical systems to ensure our devices meet customer, regulatory, and performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct System Integration Activities
    Complete the integration of complex software, hardware, and mechanical systems, ensuring all components function cohesively within the simulator environment.
  • Execute Validation & Verification Testing
    Perform test procedures, document results, and support the verification of system performance against technical specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Commissioning & Technical Issue Resolution
    Carry out commissioning tasks, identify issues, and support corrective actions across electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces.
  • Maintain Documentation & Reports
    Update test reports, rework instructions, assembly documentation, and integration records under direction of the Integration & Test Lead.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams to communicate issues, support investigations, and help prevent recurrence.
  • General Assembly & Installation
    Undertake hands‑on assembly tasks using technical drawings, including cable installation, wiring checks, rigging, and mechanical fit-out.
  • Customer & Regulatory Interaction Support
    Engage professionally with customers and aviation authorities during inspections, audits, demonstrations, and acceptance activities.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI)
    Contribute feedback to improve manufacturability, serviceability, and build quality during new product deployment.
  • Maintain Schedules & Progress Updates
    Support the planning and tracking of integration and test activities, reporting progress and issues to the Integration & Test Lead.
  • Continuous Improvement Participation
    Contribute to lean activities and process improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and build repeatability.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification such as HNC/HND (Level 4 or above).
  • Practical experience in manufacturing, aerospace, simulation, or electromechanical system assembly.
  • Hands‑on experience with technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electromechanical systems.
  • Exposure to formal testing activities, verification and validation processes, or engineering commissioning tasks.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify issues across electrical and mechanical domains.
  • Experience producing or updating technical documentation (e.g., test records, rework instructions).
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across engineering and operations environments.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and resolving issues under time pressure.
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites or other company locations when required.
  • Willingness to undertake shift work based on operational needs.
  • Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing competing priorities and making informed decisions.
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites or other company locations domestically and internationally at short notice.
  • Willingness to work shifts when operationally required.
