Job Description

Summary:
Performs Quality Control Inspections for all phases of modular project activities, with capabilities to lead and problem solve.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.
  • Perform and lead Inspections and testing throughout stages of production.
  • Assures that work and materials meet establishment and regulatory standards.
  • Records results of testing.
  • Observes Quality Control process to trace cause of production defects and confers with production and Quality Control personnel to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Attends meetings to obtain and discuss reports of production defects observed and recorded by Quality Control personnel.
  • Works on straightforward tasks using established procedures; work is subject to review by others.
  • Provide instruction, guidance, and direction.
  • Provides knowledge and skills in basic practices and procedures.
  • Applies technical skills and knowledge to complete assigned work.
  • Responds to standard requests from internal or external customers.
  • Solves routine problems by following defined procedures.
  • Manages time to meet deadlines set by others.
  • Works with others as part of a team.
  • Must be able to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime when workload requires.
  • Generate NCR's when required
  • Perform VT Inspections.
  • Understand and Inspect According to Contract Requirements.
  • Understand Subcontractor(s) Contract Requirements.
  • Follow the HSE requirements applicable to work scope.
  • Assist with implementation of project specific quality procedures.
  • Perform and document inspections as required(weld/heat map, weld log, NDE coordination, witness of pressure testing).
  • Perform and document inspections of subcontractor work as assigned.
  • Oversee subcontractor inspections and review of subcontractor documentation.
  • Generate NCR's when required.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Inspections.
  • Certified CWI Experience with AISC Code, ASME PCC-1 Bolting, Skidmore Testing.
  • Experience in Weld/Heat map trace ability Knowledge of pipe fabrication drawings Including but not limited to distinguishing welds such as Girth, Branch, Etc.
  • Document NDE percentages requirements for RT, MT, Etc. and NDE Coordination.
  • Basic math skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach, stand, walk, climb, grasp, use hands or fingers, grip, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and to perform repetitive motions. Ability to sit at a desk and operate computer for extended periods of time. The ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up-to 25 lbs. may be required.
