Johnson Hyundai of Apex is looking for a Full-Time Automotive Service Technician to join our growing Service team.

As an Automotive Service Technician, you'll inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair customer and dealership vehicles while helping us provide the dependable, high-quality service our customers expect.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work accurately and efficiently in accordance with repair orders, dealership standards, and manufacturer procedures.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance needs, safety concerns, and recommended services.
• Communicate promptly with Service Advisors regarding diagnostic findings, additional work needed, parts requirements, and repair status.
• Work collaboratively with the Parts Department to identify and obtain necessary parts.
• Accurately document inspections, diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and service recommendations.
• Follow manufacturer and dealership warranty procedures.
• Road-test vehicles as necessary to verify customer concerns and completed repairs.
• Use manufacturer technical information, service bulletins, diagnostic equipment, and other available resources.
• Participate in required manufacturer and dealership training.
• Protect and properly care for customer and dealership vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and applicable environmental and hazardous-material requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed to support Service Department operations.

We're looking for technicians who combine mechanical ability with reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing the job right.

Qualified candidates should have:

• Automotive maintenance and/or repair experience appropriate to the position.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability appropriate to experience level.
• A commitment to quality and accurate workmanship.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• The ability to accurately document work performed and communicate repair findings.
• Basic computer and electronic diagnostic proficiency.
• A dependable, self-motivated approach to work.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a Service team.
• A willingness to participate in ongoing technical and manufacturer training.
• A valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company standards.

ASE and Hyundai certifications are preferred, but not required for all technician levels.
