Are you a Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Process Engineering graduate who enjoys solving problems, working with customers, and seeing the direct impact of your solutions?

DRT is seeking a technically driven Sales Engineer to help manufacturers improve equipment performance, reliability, and productivity. This role combines engineering, customer engagement, technical problem-solving, and business strategy across Parts, Service, Technical Solutions, Equipment Upgrades, and Capital Equipment.

This is not a traditional sales role. We're looking for engineers and technically minded professionals who are curious, analytical, and motivated to understand customer challenges and develop solutions that deliver measurable value.

What You'll Do

• Develop a strong understanding of customer operations, manufacturing processes, and installed equipment

• Analyze equipment performance, service history, and operational needs to identify opportunities for improvement

• Recommend technical solutions including replacement parts, upgrades, training, maintenance programs, and capital equipment

• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Service, and Commercial teams to develop customer-focused solutions

• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and value-driven recommendations

• Manage opportunities from initial discovery through implementation and follow-up

• Support strategic account growth through proactive customer engagement and lifecycle planning

• Utilize CRM and business systems to track opportunities and customer activity

Ideal Candidate

You may be a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking for a role that combines technical expertise with customer interaction. You don't just ask, "What does the customer need?" You ask, "Why do they need it, and how can we improve their operation?"

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline

• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

• Internship, co-op, or professional experience within manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, machinery, or engineering environments

• Experience with CRM, ERP, Power BI, or similar business systems

• Exposure to industrial machinery, capital equipment, aftermarket services, or technical support functions
