Dock & Donations Coordinator in Shakopee, Minnesota at HEART RESPONSE MINISTRY LLC

Reports To: Heart Assistant Manager
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (40 hours/week)

This role is responsible for the daily operations of HRM’s dock and the Heart Distribution Center to ensure a safe working environment and a good flow of donations for our volunteers to sort through.

• Dock operations: Staff/volunteer supervision, safety, cleanliness, equipment maintenance, load staging, and loading/unloading.
• Equipment: Pallet jacks, forklifts, baler, freezers, and box trucks, including inspections and ensuring operability.
• Donations: Pickup, receiving, storage, delivery, and coordinating volunteer drivers.
• Distribution Center: Maintaining organization and supporting staff, partners, and volunteers.
• Safety & compliance: Health, safety, cleanliness, hazard identification, maintenance, product handling, and customer-service policies.
• Additional store support: Home Depot kitchen and bath assistance, store events/promotions, and improving customer experience.
• Transportation: Ability to operate a box truck with a DOT card.

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

• The schedule includes Saturdays, evenings, and extended hours as ministry needs require.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Regular onsite work is required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to pass a health exam to get a DOT Card

HEART Response Ministry is a Minnesota nonprofit organization that is exempt from contributing to Minnesota Unemployment Insurance. As a result, employees are not eligible for Minnesota unemployment benefits upon separation from employment.
