As a P6 Scheduler, you will play a key role in planning and controlling complex transmission and substation projects within the utility industry. You will develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and timelines remain aligned with project objectives. Working closely with project management, engineering, construction, and program leadership, you will provide accurate scheduling insights and help teams make informed decisions. Through critical path analysis, resource loading, forecasting, and progress monitoring, you will identify potential risks and support proactive mitigation. You will also evaluate the scheduling impact of scope changes and help develop recovery plans when projects face delays. - Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for transmission and substation projects using Primavera P6.
- Ensure schedules accurately reflect key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and project objectives.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, construction, and program leadership to validate schedules and maintain alignment across teams.
- Perform critical path analysis, resource loading, forecasting, and schedule analysis to identify potential risks and optimize project timelines.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and proactively flag potential delays or schedule risks.
- Lead the development of recovery plans and schedule adjustments to help keep projects on track.
- Support change control processes by assessing schedule impacts resulting from scope changes.
- Ensure scheduling activities comply with applicable client-specific standards, reporting requirements, and project controls processes.
- Use Primavera P6 and Unifier to support accurate management of schedules, budgets, and project workflows.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience scheduling complex projects within the utility industry.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience using Primavera P6.
- 5+ years of experience with Unifier.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining schedules for large-scale, complex projects.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and project scheduling practices.
- Experience performing critical path analysis, resource loading, forecasting, progress tracking, and schedule risk identification.
- Ability to assess the scheduling implications of scope changes and support effective recovery planning.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, construction teams, and program leadership.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear scheduling information to project stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced project environment.
