This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a RIA Operations Support (Part-Time) based in Canada.
This remote role supports the day-to-day operations of a Registered Investment Advisor environment, helping ensure recurring workflows and financial reports are accurate, organized, and completed on time. You will perform detailed quality control checks across client information and operational reports, comparing data against previous submissions to maintain consistency and compliance. The position also involves supporting daily RIA activities, including email sign-in processes, deposit updates, security checks, and task tracking. You will prepare and maintain recurring financial and operational reports across portfolio management systems. The role is well suited to someone who values precision, takes ownership of their work, and is comfortable working independently. You will also contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and documentation that strengthen operational continuity.
- Perform rigorous quality control checks on reports and client information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Review current and previous submissions to identify discrepancies and maintain high standards of data quality and compliance.
- Provide daily operational support for RIA activities, including email sign-in processes, deposit updates, and security checks.
- Track operational tasks and maintain accurate workflow updates using Basecamp.
- Prepare and maintain recurring operational and financial reports, including Beta Reports, Client Allocation Group Reports, and Invoicing Reports.
- Maintain organized records across portfolio management and reporting systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and introduce automation where appropriate.
- Maintain and update internal workflows, SOPs, and documentation to support operational continuity.
- Communicate updates clearly and provide appropriate context when sharing completed work or identifying issues.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail with a meticulous and analytical approach to reviewing data and reports.
- Ability to prioritize accuracy and quality over speed while consistently meeting operational requirements.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to review existing training materials, SOPs, and walkthroughs before escalating questions.
- Strong sense of ownership, reliability, professionalism, and commitment to high-quality work.
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Ability and willingness to learn new platforms, portfolio management systems, and operational tools.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to provide clear context when sharing updates.
- Reliable home-office setup and personal device suitable for remote work.
- Availability to consistently support the operations team during US business hours.
