Job Description/Summary
Supervision of direct care staff and daily program oversight of Substance Use continuum of care 3 locations: Eatontown, Toms River, Barnegat Offices
Responsibilities
- Ensures documentation of staff and consumer training is maintained as required by state standards.
- Arranges or provides ongoing training for staff on existing and new policies.
- Provides supervision for provision of consumer care and consumer satisfaction.
- Provides oversight, guidance, and direction in assessing, diagnosing (LCADC only) and treating person served to ensure that the program utilizes a wide variety of intervention modalities to ensure that provision oftreatment meets the needs of all persons served.
- Demonstrates knowledge of ASAM PPCІІ.
- Ensures that the programs protect and promote the rights of the persons served.
- Notifies the COO of Adult or Children's Services of critical incidents
- Provides oversight and instructions for primary assessments, plans of care and reviews of plan of care and medical record documentation to ensure they meet all applicable standards.
- Ensures all staff supervised meet regulatory standards for training and required credentials.
- Monitors plans of care (IRP), plan of care reviews (IRP reviews), timely completion ofrecord audits and program statistics/scorecards to ensure achievement of contracted units of service.
- Ensures timeliness of intake assessments and associated paperwork and discharge summaries.
- Coordinates psychiatric evaluations, assessments and medication monitoring for persons served with program psychiatrist and /or murse practitioner.
- Informs VP of Substance Use Services and COO of all emergent clinical issues and staff performance trends.
- Displays advanced knowledge in crisis management, psychotropic medications, community resources, cultural diversity, clinical assessment, group counseling and program planning.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all areas of substance abuse services standards of consumer care and agency licensure and ensures program compliance.
- Knowledge of Work First NJ policies.
- Knowledge of gold standard urine testing, including knowledge of logs.
- Completes Mental Health Evaluations for all Parole, ISP, Hospital Discharges including ASAM Levels of care and Multi-axial diagnosis.
- Completes mental health screening to make PESS referral.
