Position Summary
Zachry Construction is seeking a Trackhoe Operator. This position demands a worker with experience in the heavy, civil construction industry and the ability to work under limited direction and supervision of the Foreman and/or Project Superintendent.
What You'll Do
- Inspect equipment and machinery for safe day-to-day operation and general maintenance needs
- Operate track hoe to excavate, move, and grade earth to specified grade or level
- Interact with construction general laborers and/or crew members to ensure proper alignment, movement, and grade confirmation for the project
- Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps
- Adjust control wheels, handles, and pedals to drive machinery and control attachments such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing booms

What We're Looking For
- Minimum of five (5) years of industry-related experience, with an emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to understand work directions and communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow employees
- Knowledge of standard hand signals used to direct construction equipment operators
