Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

About the Role
A leading construction consulting company is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Construction Progress Report Writer to join our team in a full-time, fully remote role. This position plays a vital role in assessing and approving draw requests and contractor progress billings for our clients across the nation.
This is a desk-based role that relies on evaluating documentation, financial schedules, and field reports. It requires careful attention to detail, effective communication skills, strong computer literacy, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Identify the overall scope of construction/renovation work across national commercial projects.
Review the completeness and adequacy of draw documents, including Schedule of Values (SOV), back-up invoices, drawings (if provided), etc.
Analyze and evaluate budgets provided by borrowers and lenders.
Provide professional opinions on the reasonableness of borrower construction schedules.
Review change orders for execution and completeness.
Identify deposits and offsite material requests.
Review and assess General Contractor Lien Waivers.
Manage a full schedule of national commercial draw reports.
Prepare detailed commercial construction progress assessments using site photographs and field documentation provided by independent 1099 field consultants.
Qualifications
Financial Acumen: High-level understanding of construction financials (SOV, cost tracking, billings, lien releases, etc.).
Technical & Computer Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Comfortability and adaptability with digital software and project management tools.
Enthusiasm and comfort learning new, proprietary integrated software platforms.
Core Skills:
Strong organizational and task prioritization abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Rigorous attention to detail and high accuracy in report preparation.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a virtual team environment.
Experience Required
35 years of experience in Construction Project Management or related construction administration/analysis.
Extensive knowledge of commercial construction and construction lending practices.
Experience reading construction drawings, finish schedules, and associated contract documentation.
Work Location & Schedule
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates residing in Washington, Oregon, or Colorado are strongly preferred).
