Job Description
Artistic Designer
Summary: The Artistic Designer turns strategy and technical content into clear, compelling, and polished visual products, from interfaces and graphics to formatted briefings and even proposal artwork. The Artistic Designer can communicate complex ideas using the power of effective storytelling to solution for the customer while also reflecting Shadow Objects brand & high-quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Create visual designs including UI concepts, prototypes, infographics, technical illustrations, presentations, maps, and/or proposal graphics.
- Translate technical and strategic inputs into intuitive, accessible, and on-brand visual communication that ‘Wow’s’ clients and helps them achieve their mission
- Develop and maintain style guides, templates, and reusable design assets to support team standards and expectations.
- Collaborate primarily with the SME for content creations while also with the Design Strategists and Program Manager and team for project matters, in order to meet deadlines and customer expectations across multiple projects.
- Apply user feedback and lessons learned to refine designs, workflows and even creative processes where applicable.
- Support business development through proposal graphics, capability presentations, and customer session materials.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, illustration, or a related field (or equivalent portfolio and experience).
- 4+ years of professional design experience; defense or government work preferred.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and suite of tools, Figma or similar tools; 3D, motion, or technical illustration skills a plus.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility, distribution statements, and marking requirements for controlled content.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating crisp storytelling, creative range, precision, and turnaround.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
