Fire Alarm Service Technician
Chicagoland | $35–$45/Hour | Full-Time
Nelbud is hiring an experienced Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our Chicagoland team. We're looking for a skilled technician with hands-on fire alarm experience who can independently inspect, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial fire alarm systems.
This is a field-based position serving customers throughout the Chicagoland area, with a particular need in the northern suburbs.
What You’ll Do- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial fire alarm systems
- Diagnose system deficiencies and determine necessary repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance and service work
- Complete inspection reports and service documentation accurately
- Communicate system issues and recommended solutions to customers
- Maintain accurate service records
- Follow applicable safety procedures, codes, and company standards
- Provide professional, dependable customer service in the field
- NICET Fire Alarm certification or equivalent required
- NICET Level II preferred
- Previous commercial fire alarm service, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair experience
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work independently in a field-service environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, professional, and safety-focused
- $35–$45/hour, based on experience and certifications
