Registered Nurse – NICU
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$40- $63.17 an hour - Per Diem, Various shifts and hours per week.
*Range includes per diem differential. +$8/hr for the night shift. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking an RN in the Special Care Nursery that is responsible for delivering high-quality, coordinated patient care using the nursing process. This role supports the mission, vision, and goals of the hospital and the Family Birth Center by ensuring the appropriate resources are provided to patients and families, promoting patient satisfaction, and contributing to optimal clinical and cost outcomes. The RN cares for a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, and adults, while maintaining a respectful and compassionate approach that addresses the unique needs of each individual based on age and physical abilities.

Qualifications
•Colorado RN license in good standing.
•BLS certification required by end of conditional period.
•NRP required by end of conditional period.
•2 years RN clinical nursing experience in an intensive care nursery required.
Responsibilities
•Assess neonatal patients and families to identify physical, psychosocial, spiritual, safety, and discharge needs.
•Develop and adjust individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
•Deliver evidence-based, developmentally appropriate care for high-risk newborns in the Special Care Nursery.
•Support transitional care of newborns and assist with labor, delivery, postpartum, and well-baby care as needed.
•Educate and involve families in care decisions, promoting a family-centered approach.
•Delegate tasks appropriately to trained ancillary staff, ensuring quality and safety standards.
•Perform and/or oversee point-of-care testing; may serve as a point-of-care trainer.
•Monitor patient response to interventions and update care plans and documentation in real time via EMR.
•Participate in quality improvement initiatives, unit-based problem solving, and team collaboration.
•Maintain current competencies, complete required annual training, and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence.
