Job Description


SCOPE:

Within area of geographical responsibility, assure strong and effective representation of AAC products and meet or exceed sales, profit and customer satisfaction objectives.

The associate will assist in identifying, developing, training, managing, and evaluating dealers/agents as required to ensure complete market coverage and maintain and grow market share. The associate shall provide input in the development of regional sales quotas in the annual planning process.

EDUCATION:

A bachelors degree in Engineering is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of four years of sales/dealer experience in the metal stamping or related capital equipment industry.

In-depth knowledge in assigned area in both metalforming product and industry applications and requirements.

Ability to develop sales forecasting by customer account, industry and AAC product.

General knowledge of contract law and purchase agreements.

Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills.

General knowledge of PC software including standard Windows applications.

Ability to travel 75-90%.

Knowledge and ability to develop and deliver Powerpoint presentations.

Ability to independently develop and implement sales call plan.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Meet or exceed regional sales, profit, and customer satisfaction goals.

Maintain a personal presence and relationship with assigned accounts; conducting sales calls, presentation, and visits to assigned customers as required.

Maintain clear communication between customer and internal AAC departments throughout the sales cycles including order acceptance, equipment delivery, installation, and installation follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and final payment.

Identify and develop new customer accounts.

Provide clearly written, accurate order definition including customer expectations with each order.

Assist as required in identifying, evaluating and recommending dealers within assigned territory and provide necessary organization and planning to meet customer satisfaction and profit goals.

Assist in negotiating and managing dealer/agent agreements.

Assist in or provide product training to dealer sales staff.

Support sales and marketing efforts of dealer/agents by maintaining close and regular contact and sharing report details of competitive product performance and activities.

Prepare and submit product and regional sales forecast and reports as required on a bi-monthly and yearly basis.

Assist customer service, product management and engineering by providing market feedback for product design, service and development efforts.

Prepare customer budgetary proposals on AAC standard product.

Provide clearly defined requests for proposal for identified customer project requirements.

Continually maintain customer contact information thru the AIDA CRM System.

Coordinate with AAC Transplant Sales Team as assigned for specified house accounts.

Provide competitive information feedback through submission of CIR Reports.

Prepare and submit Sales Call Reports as required.

All associates shall:

  • Know the AAC Corporate, Associate and Customer Vision and the AAC Quality Policy and conduct daily work in a manner that supports achievement of such.
  • Perform daily work in compliance with AAC’s objective to continuously improve AAC’s QMS. In order to do this associates must a) understand the definition of “good quality” as it pertains to their work, b) notify supervisor of poor incoming quality issues from upstream suppliers which can take the form of materials, information or processes, c) notify supervisor of poor intra-departmental quality issues which can take the form of material, information or processes, and d) work in a constructive manner to satisfy downstream customers and upstream suppliers to solve problems.
  • Understand and work to support achievement of corporate and departmental objectives.
  • Work with supervisor to establish and meet individual training and development goals.
  • Know and abide by all company policies.
  • Act in a professional and ethical manner.
