Job Description
Staff accountant will be responsible to perform a variety of duties such as maintaining the general ledger, reviewing financial statements, preparing financial reports, assisting with audits and budgeting processes, and reconciling accounts. Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts; preparing financial statements.
· Accounts Payable: assigning account numbers and preparing vendor payments. Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
· Accounts Receivable: Responsible for bank deposits and cash application.
· Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.
· Cash Flow Management: Authorize online banking transactions, reconcile bank deposit account balances with bank statements.
· Tax Filing and Auditing: Coordinate with external accountants and tax consultants to regularly provide relevant information for external tax filings, reasonably avoid risks related to tax policies, and reduce the tax burden of the company.
· Collaborate with various departments to gather cost data, forecast future expenses, and establish cost targets. Monitor and report on budget variances, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
· Process accounting documents (invoices, payments, check requests) in line with GAAP and company policies.
· Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and schedules for monthly closing.
· Accurately enter transactions into the accounting system, M3.
· Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
· Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
· Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
· Other duties as required.
Requirements:· 4+ years of similar experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role in accounting.
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business management required.
· Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Highly organized and detail-oriented.
· Knowledge of an accounting information system or ERP.
· Proficiency in MS Office.
