Job Description

Data Architect - Market (Manager)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Architect - Market (Manager) in United States.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of AI-powered healthcare data platforms within a highly collaborative and innovation-driven environment. In this role, you will lead the design and evolution of enterprise-scale AI and data architecture solutions that transform complex structured and unstructured data into trusted, reusable assets. You’ll work at the intersection of data engineering, AI enablement, governance, and cloud infrastructure, helping accelerate intelligent decision-making and scalable AI adoption. The position offers significant ownership over platform architecture, semantic data design, retrieval systems, and operational excellence. You will partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, AI, compliance, and business stakeholders to build production-grade solutions that support long-term innovation. Ideal candidates are hands-on technical leaders who thrive in ambiguous environments and enjoy solving complex problems with scalable, secure, and practical solutions.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and lead the architecture of enterprise AI context and data platforms, including ingestion, enrichment, embeddings, indexing, retrieval, and serving layers.
  • Develop scalable frameworks for semantic data layers, governed datasets, metadata standards, and AI-ready interfaces.
  • Define best practices for vector search, retrieval quality, hybrid search strategies, reranking, and context-serving capabilities.
  • Evaluate and implement cloud infrastructure, tooling, and platform services across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
  • Establish operational standards for monitoring, CI/CD, testing, observability, reliability, and platform performance optimization.
  • Implement governance, security, and compliance controls including RBAC/ABAC, audit logging, PII handling, and secure AI access patterns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical roadmaps, architectural decisions, and AI platform capabilities with business goals.
  • Mentor engineering teams through technical leadership, architecture reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.
  • Drive platform scalability, reliability, cost optimization, and retrieval performance improvements over time.
  • Support the long-term evolution of the platform and contribute to future team leadership and organizational growth.
Requirements:
  • 8–12+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or platform engineering with strong hands-on technical delivery experience.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and strong proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Extensive experience with Snowflake, including advanced data modeling, pipeline development, performance tuning, and production-scale operations.
  • Strong cloud architecture experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP ecosystems.
  • Hands-on expertise with vector databases and retrieval technologies such as Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch, Elastic, or pgvector.
  • Experience designing semantic layers and working with dbt or equivalent data transformation and governance tools.
  • Strong understanding of AI/LLM-related architectures including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and AI observability concepts.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security-by-design principles, and regulated data environments.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence stakeholders across engineering, AI, product, and business teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in healthcare, highly regulated industries, or enterprise-scale AI initiatives is considered a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable working in evolving, fast-paced environments with a strong ownership mindset and collaborative approach.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote position within the United States.
  • Competitive base salary range of $140,000 – $190,000 USD annually.
  • Total compensation potential up to approximately $237,500 USD including annual incentive opportunities.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Employee stock purchase plan.
  • Generous paid time off policy.
  • Paid parental leave and adoption assistance.
  • Wellness programs including health screenings, coaching, and employee support initiatives.
  • Collaborative and innovation-focused work culture with opportunities for career growth and leadership development.
  • Limited travel requirements (up to 4 times per year).
