Senior Director of Technology

This role is a high-impact leadership position responsible for owning and evolving a company’s core technology ecosystem in a fast-growing omnichannel retail environment. You will oversee enterprise systems with a primary focus on ERP platforms, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and fully aligned with business growth objectives. Acting as both a strategic leader and hands-on executor, you will drive system optimization, integrations, and automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency across retail, eCommerce, wholesale, and supply chain functions. The position requires close collaboration with Finance and Operations teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and accurate reporting. You will also lead vendor relationships, system enhancements, and cross-functional technology initiatives while building internal capability through training and adoption programs. This is a player-coach leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, founder-led environments and enjoys turning complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will lead the strategy, management, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology systems, ensuring they effectively support business growth, operational efficiency, and data integrity across all channels.

  • Own and manage the organization’s technology ecosystem, with primary accountability for ERP systems such as NetSuite
  • Ensure system stability, scalability, and alignment with business strategy and operational needs
  • Lead system enhancements, integrations, automation, and AI-driven initiatives to improve efficiency and performance
  • Define and manage the technology roadmap, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of key initiatives
  • Partner with Finance and Operations teams to ensure accurate data, reporting integrity, and compliance with controls
  • Oversee end-to-end business process optimization, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and fulfillment
  • Manage external vendors and technology partners, ensuring accountability, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and long-term resolution strategies
  • Drive system adoption through documentation, training, and change management initiatives
  • Build and mentor a high-performing, hands-on technology team
Requirements

This role requires deep expertise in enterprise systems leadership within retail or consumer-driven environments, along with strong technical, operational, and leadership capabilities. Candidates should be comfortable operating in high-growth settings and translating business needs into scalable technology solutions.

  • 10+ years of experience in technology or business systems leadership within retail, apparel, or consumer goods industries
  • Expert-level experience with NetSuite ERP, including implementation, optimization, and multi-entity management
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel operations, including eCommerce, wholesale, and retail environments
  • Proven experience with end-to-end business processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and fulfillment
  • Experience integrating third-party systems (eCommerce platforms, WMS, EDI, POS, 3PLs) using APIs or middleware
  • Track record of leading ERP implementations and system scaling in high-growth environments
  • Strong leadership skills with a player-coach approach to team development
  • Excellent program management, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to drive change management, training, and enterprise-wide system adoption
