This role plays a key part in ensuring global supply chain and import operations meet strict customs, trade compliance, and internal governance standards. You will support source-to-pay processes by validating import data, monitoring purchase orders, and ensuring accurate documentation across multiple stakeholders and systems. Working within a global trade management environment, you will collaborate closely with suppliers, logistics teams, finance, and internal business units to resolve issues and maintain seamless import operations. The position offers exposure to international trade compliance activities while contributing to risk mitigation and operational efficiency. You will be part of a detail-oriented and collaborative team that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Pre-screen import purchase orders to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and international import regulations and internal standards.
- Validate accuracy of import data, including manufacturer details, country of origin, incoterms, transportation mode, carriers, and broker information.
- Monitor import PO status, identify potential supply chain risks or delays, and proactively support issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing and customs clearance.
- Maintain and analyze import reporting (open orders, in-transit shipments, etc.) to identify variances and ensure timely corrective action.
- Support supplier qualification processes, including documentation reviews, assessments, and improvement plans in coordination with regional teams.
- Manage supplier and vendor data setup and ongoing validation to ensure compliance with trade records and system accuracy.
- Contribute to trade compliance initiatives, reporting, training, and operational improvement projects within the Global Trade Management function.
- Act as a subject matter support resource, providing insights on trade compliance risks, forecasting, and process improvements.
- Strong ability to take ownership, work independently, and exercise sound judgment in a compliance-focused environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
