Paid Search Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Paid Search Manager based in United States.

This role owns the day-to-day performance and strategic direction of assigned paid search accounts.
You will translate client objectives into channel strategies covering budgets, targeting, measurement, and testing.
The position combines hands-on campaign management with performance analysis, client communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will oversee campaign pacing, optimization, launches, tracking validation, reporting, and account quality standards.
The role requires turning complex marketing data into clear business narratives and actionable recommendations.
You will also identify opportunities across automation, audience strategy, campaign types, creative, and landing-page performance.
Depending on location, the position can be remote or hybrid, with hybrid opportunities available in select U.S. locations.

Accountabilities:
  • Translate client business goals into comprehensive paid search strategies, including budgets, targeting approaches, measurement plans, and testing roadmaps.
  • Develop account-specific channel plans aligned with client KPIs and performance objectives.
  • Identify opportunities across campaign types, automation, audience strategies, creative, and landing-page experiences.
  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of assigned paid search accounts and establish clear weekly priorities.
  • Monitor campaign pacing and ensure spend and delivery remain aligned with budgets and client objectives.
  • Manage campaigns hands-on using Google Ads, Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Ads, and SA360.
  • Maintain strong account structures, platform hygiene, and campaign organization.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance standards for campaign launches and ongoing account management.
  • Validate tracking and ensure reporting accurately reflects campaign activity and performance.
  • Develop and execute structured optimization plans covering budget allocation, bidding adjustments, testing priorities, and documented learnings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure campaign execution remains aligned with client objectives.
  • Coordinate day-to-day tasks and responsibilities through the team’s project management platform.
  • Deliver weekly performance narratives that clearly explain results, drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews with actionable recommendations tied to client objectives.
  • Translate campaign and platform data into clear, client-ready insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate, consistent, and timely performance reporting across assigned accounts.
  • Take ownership of pacing, validation, delivery status, and performance communication.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities that could affect account performance or client outcomes.
  • Apply performance learnings to continuously improve campaign strategy and execution.
  • Maintain strong client communication while balancing strategic priorities with hands-on campaign delivery.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant paid search experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing large monthly campaign budgets and complex paid search account structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead account delivery, establish priorities, manage pacing, and maintain performance against KPIs.
  • Proven ability to translate campaign performance data into clear client-facing insights and recommendations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Ads.
  • Experience using Google Ads Editor and managing campaign launches.
  • Experience with campaign QA, tracking validation, and reporting quality processes.
  • Strong understanding of paid search optimization, bidding, budgeting, targeting, testing, and measurement.
  • Ability to develop structured optimization plans and document performance learnings.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing environments.
  • Ability to turn complex performance data into concise, compelling business narratives.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain consistent delivery across assigned accounts.
  • Comfortable collaborating with internal teams and external partners in a fast-paced marketing environment.
  • Experience with Google Shopping, Demand Gen, and Performance Max is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Ads, SA360, and Google Analytics is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively in either a remote or hybrid environment, depending on location.
