Description:

The Operations Delivery Director is responsible for supporting the development, performance, and operational success of ObjectiveHealth’s clinical research teams. This role leads training and competency initiatives for clinical and patient-facing employees while also overseeing strategic projects, study resources, quality initiatives, and operational execution.

The ideal candidate is an experienced clinical research professional who can effectively balance employee development, operational leadership, project management, and hands-on clinical research support. This role requires minimum of 30% travel to support research centers, training initiatives, and operational needs.

Responsibilities:

Employee Training & Development

  • Facilitate and participate in company internal training program for new hires on a monthly or as-needed basis.
  • Develop role-specific learning plans and assign required training, including SOPs, GCP, IATA, and other applicable requirements.
  • Maintain communication with Site Directors throughout the employee orientation period.
  • Develop and maintain training curricula and materials across online, in-person, and instructor-led formats.
  • Implement competency-based training and evaluation processes for clinical and patient-facing roles.
  • Conduct hands-on training and competency assessments at ObjectiveHealth Research Centers.
  • Develop assessments to evaluate knowledge and competency following training.
  • Partner with leadership to develop retraining plans when additional development is needed.
  • Mentor and support eligible staff pursuing ACRP certification, as approved by leadership.

Training Compliance & Quality

  • Maintain accurate employee training records within the Learning Management System.
  • Monitor quarterly training compliance across ObjectiveHealth.
  • Ensure required training is completed and documented within the 90-day orientation period.
  • Oversee annual training renewals and continuing education requirements.
  • Develop quarterly continuing education opportunities based on Quality review findings and organizational needs.
  • Actively participate in Quality Control initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with Quality on SOP and policy development and updates.
  • Participate in internal company audits and external sponsor or regulatory audits as requested.

Operational & Project Management

  • Support ObjectiveHealth strategic goals through the management and execution of operational opportunities and special projects.
  • Oversee resource allocation for targeted study opportunities in partnership with Operations leadership.
  • Coordinate staffing and resources throughout the study lifecycle, including study start-up, recruitment planning, participant visits, data entry, and quality review.
  • Provide real-time updates to stakeholders regarding study status, enrollment, visit metrics, and operational performance.
  • Function as a Clinical Research Coordinator and participate in direct patient-facing activities as needed and in accordance with study-specific protocols and guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, quality, productivity, and study execution.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with research sponsors, investigators, Site Directors, clinical staff, and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a professional liaison among investigators, physicians, ancillary departments, research participants, sponsoring organizations, and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all activities.
  • Attend required company, site, study, industry, and sponsor meetings and training events.
  • Communicate effectively across teams to ensure alignment on operational priorities, study objectives, and performance expectations.

Leadership & Organizational Impact

  • Serve as a professional, respectful, dependable, and collaborative member of the ObjectiveHealth team.

  • Demonstrate initiative and adaptability in strategic planning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Take ownership of projects and responsibilities while working effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of biological and medical terminology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience training or mentoring in a clinical research environment
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and training technologies
  • Prior Clinical Research Coordinating experience (any therapeutic area)
  • Hands-on experience with project management
  • Travel: Minimum of 30% travel is expected for this position.
