Position Summary
The Successions Sourcer, Physician Recruitment is responsible for building and sustaining the top-of-funnel physician pipeline that supports MDVIP's successions nationwide, with a focus on critical, hard-to-fill succession needs. This position will report to the Executive Director, Succession Operations and Recruitment and will partner daily with Successions team recruiters.
Working ahead of and alongside active successions, this role identifies, researches, and engages primary care physicians to find interest in MDVIP affiliation and practice ownership, converting passive market interest into qualified candidate conversations. This is a high-volume, research-driven role that sits at the front of the recruiting funnel. The Sourcer is expected to operate within our technology and AI toolset and to maintain the data discipline that makes pipeline coverage, conversion, and time-to-fill measurable across the Successions organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain qualified physician pipelines for assigned succession markets, meeting pipeline coverage targets for both active and anticipated succession events.
- Execute advanced sourcing strategies using internal databases, AI-assisted search, and market mapping across platforms including HireEZ, SeekOut, and Findem.
- Design and run multi-touch outreach campaigns in Gem, testing messaging and cadence to improve response and conversion rates.
- Conduct market and competitive research to profile physician density, practice ownership patterns, and referral networks in target territories, informing recruiting strategy ahead of known transitions.
- Partner daily with assigned recruiters to align sourcing output to requisition priority, hand off qualified candidates cleanly, and adjust targeting based on live feedback.
- Maintain rigorous data hygiene in Gem and Monday.com so that pipeline, activity, and conversion reporting is accurate and reportable to leadership without rework.
- Track and report individual sourcing metrics — candidates sourced, contact rate, response rate, and sourced-to-interview conversion — and use them to self-diagnose and adjust approach.
- Contribute to the shared sourcing knowledge base on the Successions SharePoint/Teams site, including search strings, outreach templates, and market intelligence that other team members can reuse.
Key Competencies
- Research rigor: locates and verifies hard-to-find candidate information from fragmented public sources.
- Technical sourcing fluency: constructs and refines complex Boolean and AI-assisted searches and adapts quickly to new platforms.
- Excellent written communicator: writes concise, credible outreach that earns a reply from busy, heavily solicited physicians.
- Data discipline: treats accurate system-of-record entry as part of the job rather than an afterthought.
- Resilience and persistence: sustains high-volume outreach against low initial response rates without losing quality or momentum.
- Collaborative partner: anticipates recruiter needs rather than waiting for direction, and adapts as succession timelines shift.
- Curiosity and commercial awareness: continuously learns the primary care and concierge medicine landscape in order to source with better judgment.
- Ability to travel as required for periodic team meetings and recruiting events.

- Proven track record of meeting activity- and outcome-based sourcing targets
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience sourcing physicians, advanced practice providers, or other licensed clinical professionals.
- Healthcare, provider network, or physician services industry background.
