SUMMARYMedNOW Clinics is seeking a compassionate and dependable Physician Assistant to provide high-quality outpatient care.This role is ideal for a PA who values clinical judgment, collaboration, patient access, accurate documentation, and continuity of care. You will work with physicians, other APPs, Medical Assistants, Front Desk staff, Clinic Managers, and support teams to ensure patients receive coordinated care and clear follow-up.WHAT YOU WILL DOEvaluate and manage patients during initial, follow-up, preventive, and problem-focused visits.Obtain appropriate histories, perform examinations, develop differential diagnoses, and create evidence-based treatment plans.Recognize urgent or unstable conditions and arrange the appropriate level of care.Order, review, interpret, and follow up on laboratory work, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.Prescribe medications within your license, collaborative agreement, approved privileges, and applicable safety requirements.Use appropriate controlled-substance safeguards and the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program when required.Provide clear patient education, shared decision-making, return precautions, and follow-up instructions.Respect patient autonomy and document informed refusal when appropriate.Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, diagnoses, orders, and coding.Maintain current medication, allergy, and problem lists.Review assigned messages, refill requests, results, referrals, and clinical work queues.Communicate results promptly and ensure urgent findings receive immediate follow-up.Track referrals and follow-up needs until responsibility and completion are confirmed.Help patients access care by using clinical review, appropriate scheduling options, and team escalation.Identify and address preventive-care needs, chronic-care gaps, and quality measures.Support value-based care initiatives and attributed-patient follow-up.Collaborate with physicians, APPs, Medical Assistants, Front Desk staff, specialists, and clinic leadership.Practice within the established Colorado-compliant collaborative agreement and MedNOW clinical policies.Delegate only within each team member’s training and role.Seek consultation or escalate care when a case is outside your experience, approved services, collaborative agreement, privileges, or available clinic resources.Participate in quality improvement, peer review, team meetings, training, and continuing professional development.Maintain all required licenses, certifications, credentialing, payer enrollment, collaborative documentation, and professional records.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSGraduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program that meets Colorado licensing requirements.Current NCCPA certification.Current, unrestricted Colorado Physician Assistant license, or documented eligibility to obtain the license before starting.Ability to enter into and maintain a Colorado-compliant collaborative agreement with MedNOW’s designated physician or physician group.Current NPI and ability to complete MedNOW and payer credentialing requirements.Active DEA registration when required for the position’s prescribing responsibilities.Current BLS/CPR certification.Strong outpatient assessment, diagnostic, treatment-planning, and follow-up skills.Ability to recognize clinical limits and obtain consultation or a higher level of care when needed.Understanding of documentation, coding, medical necessity, patient privacy, and professional standards.Ability to work onsite for the posted schedule and consistently meet documentation and patient-care responsibilities.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAt least one year of outpatient primary-care or family-medicine experience.Experience with Athenahealth or another electronic health record.Experience with value-based care, quality measures, care-gap closure, and population-health initiatives.Experience managing a patient panel, clinical inbox, refill requests, referrals, and results.Experience with accurate outpatient coding and documentation.New graduates may be considered for selected openings with an appropriate collaborative agreement, training plan, and clinical-support structure.WHY JOIN MEDNOW CLINICS?Provide comprehensive care within a collaborative outpatient team.Build ongoing relationships with patients and families.Practice in an environment that values clinical judgment and appropriate consultation.Receive onboarding and support for MedNOW workflows, documentation, quality programs, and patient-access expectations.Work across a growing organization offering primary and specialty services.Access opportunities for continued learning and professional growth.Eligible employees may receive medical, dental, and vision coverage; paid time off and sick leave; a 401(k) match; voluntary insurance options; employee discounts; and training and professional-growth opportunities. Eligibility is based on employment status and applicable plan requirements.COMPENSATIONThe anticipated full-time base salary range is $110,000 to $140,000 annually. Part-time compensation will be prorated according to the approved schedule and FTE.In addition to base salary, providers may have the opportunity to earn additional productivity-based compensation. This incentive considers work RVU performance and accurate, timely, and compliant documentation and coding practices.Eligibility, performance measurements, and payment terms are governed by MedNOW’s current provider compensation plan and will be reviewed during the hiring process.The final base salary will be determined by experience, credentials, schedule, responsibilities, and internal equity.
