About the Role:
The Brick Associate, Merchandising plays a critical role in ensuring that our retail locations in Canada present products in an appealing and organized manner that drives sales and enhances the customer experience. This position is responsible for executing merchandising strategies, maintaining inventory displays, and collaborating with store management to optimize product placement and promotional activities. The role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of visual merchandising principles to create engaging and effective product presentations. The Brick Associate will also monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and provide feedback on customer preferences and trends to support business decisions. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the store’s success by maximizing product visibility and accessibility, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and sales performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or merchandising experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required.
- Basic proficiency with inventory management systems and point-of-sale technology.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in visual merchandising or retail merchandising roles.
- Familiarity with The Brick’s product lines and retail environment.
- Knowledge of merchandising software or tools.
- Customer service training or certification.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs safely.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the delivery driver with loading, unloading, and safely transporting merchandise to customers’ homes and businesses.
- Help organize and secure products in the delivery vehicle to prevent damage during transportation.
- Assist with carrying, moving, and positioning furniture, appliances, and other merchandise as required.
- Deliver products to customers in a professional, courteous, and timely manner while providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with bringing merchandise into customers’ homes and placing items in designated locations according to customer instructions.
- Check merchandise before and after delivery to help ensure products are handled safely and arrive in good condition.
- Communicate with the delivery driver, store management, and customers regarding delivery schedules, product handling, and any issues that arise.
- Assist with assembling or positioning merchandise when required and ensure the delivery area is left clean and organized.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, loading areas, and work environment.
- Follow company policies, traffic regulations, and health and safety procedures when handling and transporting merchandise.
- Report damaged merchandise, delivery issues, customer concerns, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
- Support warehouse and store operations when needed, including organizing stock and preparing merchandise for delivery.
Skills:
The Delivery Helper utilizes strong physical stamina and teamwork skills to safely load, unload, and transport merchandise. Good communication and customer service skills are essential when working with customers, drivers, and store team members. Attention to detail helps ensure products are handled carefully and delivered to the correct location without damage.
