  • Resolve system exceptions and validate tax configurations to support accurate payroll processing.
  • Support quarter-end and year-end payroll tax activities, including W-2 and T4 preparation, reconciliations, filings, and validation.
  • Manage high-volume employee payroll and tax inquiries while providing responsive, customer-focused support.
  • Support employment tax audits by preparing documentation and providing timely responses.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce compliance risk and increase operational efficiency.
  • Maintain flexibility to support peak periods, including quarter-end and year-end activities, as well as special projects.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in employment or payroll tax covering both the United States and Canada.
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday and Smart Compliance, including tax registrations and exception management.
  • Hands-on experience with quarter-end and year-end payroll tax processes, including filings, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Experience processing payroll tax adjustments, W2c corrections, and T4 amendments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • FPC or PCP certification is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to organize and interpret payroll and tax data.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of employee tickets and inquiries with a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to a team environment.
  • Familiarity with executive compensation payroll and tax reporting is desirable.
Benefits
  • Fully remote, full-time work arrangement.
  • Opportunity to work on US and Canadian employment tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Exposure to complex payroll tax processes, including quarter-end and year-end activities.
  • Opportunity to contribute to process improvements designed to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
