About the Role
Developmental Enterprises Corporation (DEC) is seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Associate to help keep our facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained.
This hands-on position is responsible for routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs across our facilities. The ideal candidate has experience with general building maintenance and is comfortable working with basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and property maintenance needs.
You will work closely with facility leadership and staff to respond to maintenance requests, prioritize repairs, and help ensure our locations remain safe and operational for the individuals we support and our employees.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout DEC facilities.
- Troubleshoot and complete basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.
- Respond to maintenance requests and urgent repair needs in a timely manner.
- Conduct facility inspections and identify potential maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with facility leadership and staff.
- Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Travel between DEC locations as needed to address maintenance needs.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in facilities, property, or building maintenance.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance requests.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between locations as needed.
Preferred
- Facilities maintenance or technical certification.
- Experience working in healthcare, human services, residential, or similar facilities.
- Familiarity with OSHA and other workplace safety standards.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Monday-Friday; 6:30a-3:00p, weekends and holidays as needed
