Linkly is a PE-backed, Australian fintech focusing on payment integration solutions. We are a leading provider in ecommerce recurring billing, and our middleware powers over 200,000 terminals and processes over two billion transactions annually. Our applications support over 800 integrations into POS solutions. We have built our reputation through seamless integration of payment terminals and POS systems and are continuing to innovate in creating a terminal and acquirer independent payment solicitor for in-store. Our clients include major banks and retailers such as Woolworths, David Jones, JB Hi-Fi, and Bunnings.
Our goal is to continuously lead the payments industry with new technology delivering value to clients, which who include merchants, banks, acquirers and POS vendors, expanding our presence into other regions.
About the Role
As a Commercial Associate at Linkly, your focus will be to support research and insight and turn it into high-quality, client-ready materials that help our Commercial and Go-To-Market team win and grow relationships.
You'll bring clarity and commercial curiosity to complex market information, helping senior leaders and our Account Management team articulate Linkly's value, performance and strategic direction to clients. Working closely with Relationship Management, GTM, Product, Strategy, Legal, Security and Finance teams, you'll help prepare for client conversations and support the team through key account and new business opportunities.
This is a great role for a commercially minded Commerce or Business graduate who is analytical, detail-oriented and looking to build a career in account management, sales and / or marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Research payments and retail industry trends across online, in-store and emerging channels, and translate findings into clear summaries, briefing notes and presentations.
- Understand the market and competitive landscape, and monitor industry developments and competitor activity. Turn what you find into insights the team can use in client conversations.
- Create and iterate presentations, briefing packs and background documents for senior external stakeholders, balancing insight, clarity and commercial relevance.
- Support Account Management and GTM initiatives with market insight and competitive positioning, and help prepare for bank engagement, key account discussions and enterprise sales opportunities.
- Work alongside the Account Management team on client-facing materials, proposals and follow-ups, helping to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Support the Account Management team on governance and compliance initiatives, working to automate these where possible.
- Analyse data (excel and Power BI based) to support commercial conversations.
What You'll Need
- A recent Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Marketing or a related field - recent graduates and those with up to ~2 years' experience are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to structure, storytelling and visual presentation (PowerPoint, Canva).
- Experience working with data in excel. PowerBI experience nice-to-have but not essential.
- Commercial curiosity and a sharp eye for detail - you enjoy digging into a topic and making it clear and compelling for others.
- Experience using AI tools (e.g. Claude) and take an interest in continuing to learn and upskill in AI.
- A genuine interest in sales, marketing and building client relationships, ideally in a B2B environment.
- Exposure to technology and/or payments companies preferred.
