Human Resources Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Human Resources Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful HR operations within a mission-driven organization focused on building strong, people-centered systems.
The position combines employee relations, people operations, compliance, and process improvement to create an efficient and supportive workplace environment.
You will serve as a trusted HR partner, advising leaders and employees while ensuring policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
The role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
You will help improve HR infrastructure, strengthen communication practices, and support a diverse workforce through thoughtful people strategies.
Working remotely, you will collaborate with leadership and teams across the country to enhance employee experiences and operational effectiveness.

Accountabilities:

The Human Resources Manager will oversee day-to-day HR operations, employee support processes, and administrative systems. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, ensuring that policies, procedures, and people programs are effectively managed while providing guidance to employees and leadership.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees seeking HR support and guidance.
  • Advise leadership teams on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and management questions.
  • Conduct employee consultations and support the resolution of workplace issues with professionalism and discretion.
  • Manage employee relations processes, including action plans, follow-up activities, and documentation.
  • Support supervisors in addressing sensitive employee situations and implementing effective solutions.
  • Oversee HR operations, including employment verifications, accommodation requests, leave requests, unemployment claims, workers’ compensation matters, and related administrative processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Review and improve HR policies and procedures to maintain operational efficiency and regulatory alignment.
  • Coordinate employee evaluation processes and support performance management initiatives.
  • Manage HR support staff and provide leadership during periods of increased operational demand.
  • Track HR metrics, employee data, and communication trends to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Prepare reports highlighting HR priorities, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional with strong operational expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trust across an organization. They should be comfortable managing confidential information, improving processes, and supporting employees and leaders through complex situations.

  • Demonstrated experience in human resources management, people operations, or a related HR discipline.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience handling confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong employee relations experience, including advising managers and supporting workplace issue resolution.
  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and manage employees or HR team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate policies clearly.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and improving HR processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Ability to influence employees and teams outside of direct reporting relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying solutions.
  • Ability to remain composed, objective, and effective in high-pressure or sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating inclusive, respectful, and equitable workplace environments.
  • Experience with workforce reporting, HR analytics, and employee data management is preferred.
  • Experience supporting mission-driven organizations, advocacy efforts, campaigns, or community-focused initiatives is a plus.
  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques, change management, and cross-functional collaboration is beneficial.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range of $55,000 to $80,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
