• Monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment and promptly recognizing rhythm changes and artifacts.
• Preparing and educating patients on telemetry transmitters, cardiac monitoring, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and stress testing procedures.
• Performing 12-lead EKGs and ensuring proper lead placement for accurate cardiac monitoring.
• Setting and documenting appropriate high and low cardiac alarm limits and ensuring alarm compliance, including suspending and resuming alarms according to policy.
• Notifying the Registered Nurse immediately of Class II arrhythmias and documenting findings accurately.
• Performing daily transmitter-to-channel number verification checks to ensure monitoring accuracy.
• Utilizing age-specific principles of growth and development to provide appropriate care and communication for patients across the lifespan.
• Assisting with the orientation and training of new employees on departmental policies and procedures.
• Collaborating with nurses, physicians, patients, families, and ancillary staff to support coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Participating in departmental education, hospital competencies, and operational updates to maintain clinical knowledge and departmental compliance.
• Supporting the mission, vision, values, and philosophy of Community Medical Center while maintaining professionalism and exceptional customer service.

• You have strong analytical skills and can quickly recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms and monitoring artifacts.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Successful completion of all required orientation programs.
• Previous telemetry experience and/or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia course is preferred.
